Collection: Jasmine Raisbeck

Jasmine Raisbeck (b. 1986) is an emerging Australian figurative painter and ceramic artist from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. A self-taught artist with a background in journalism and TV production, Jasmine's previous career continues to inform her current art practice.

Jasmine began her journalism career as a cadet in the regional gold-mining town of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, before moving on to work at various television networks, including The Project on Channel 10 in Melbourne. Her experiences in journalism have equipped her with a unique blend of skills, particularly a keen observational eye developed through years of storytelling.

In her art, Jasmine seeks to articulate the human experience, finding beauty in the everyday and ordinary moments shared with family. Her work is marked by a deep understanding of people from all walks of life, a perspective shaped by her time in newsrooms across Australia.

As a female artist working primarily in oil paint, Jasmine’s practice is deeply rooted in her own experiences as a woman and mother, as well as the lives of those around her, including her children.
