Floating Elephant by House of Quentin Jones
Description
Floating Elephant is a hand-embroidered tapestry by House of Quentin Jones that captures the artist’s whimsical, dreamlike approach to storytelling through textile. Blending surreal imagery with expressive collage, the work invites a sense of curiosity while celebrating the beauty of handcrafted processes.
Beginning as one of Quentin Jones’ original hand-drawn compositions, Floating Elephant is meticulously brought to life by skilled artisans in Jaipur, India. Constructed from antique silk sarees, linen, cotton, wool and canvas, each tapestry is individually hand embroidered and assembled, reflecting a unique collaboration between contemporary artistic vision and traditional Indian craftsmanship.
Rich in texture and layered with character, Floating Elephant is designed to be both a collectible artwork and a sculptural textile. Its tactile surface and playful composition create a striking focal point, bringing warmth, narrative and a sense of imagination to any interior.
