Dovile Bernotaite

Artist Biography

Dovilė Bernotaitė is a Lithuanian artist whose practice explores the relationship between emotion, rhythm and abstraction. Each work begins as a deeply personal response to the noise of everyday life, using painting as a way to transform moments of chaos into compositions of balance, movement and quiet contemplation.

Rather than adhering to a single visual style, Bernotaitė allows each body of work to evolve organically. Her paintings shift with her experiences, thoughts and emotional landscape, embracing different forms and techniques as each idea demands its own unique language. This openness gives her practice a sense of honesty and continual discovery.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including presentations of Linear Harmony at a private event in the Camilla and Marc showroom in Paris, and Hidden Narratives in Venice. Bernotaitė's paintings have also found homes in private collections and thoughtfully designed interiors around the world.

Through layered forms, expressive mark-making and an intuitive approach to composition, Bernotaitė creates works that invite pause and reflection. Each painting offers space for personal interpretation, with the hope that it not only enriches a room, but quietly resonates with those who live alongside it.
