Adele Naidoo

Artist Biography

Adele Naidoo is a Perth-based artist and designer whose practice has evolved from expressive floral painting into sculptural wall works created in collaboration with her husband, Jayd Naidoo.

Drawing on Adele’s love of flowers and Jayd’s architectural background, the pair explore floral formation, movement and structure through hand-sculpted forms that transform rigid material into fluid, petal-like compositions.

Each sculpture is a one-off original, individually formed, sanded and finished by hand in Australia. Adele’s work has been featured in Australian and international interiors publications and has been stocked by leading design and homeware galleries.

Growing up in South Africa with an artist father, Adele Naidoo was immersed in creativity and nature from an early age, influences that continue to shape her artistic practice.

After completing a Diploma in Interior Design, Adele worked as a Reggio Emilia Early Years Art Teacher while developing her own creative work. Represented early in her career by Greenhouse Interiors, she later moved to Shanghai, where she worked as an Art Director and Teacher at an international kindergarten from 2019 to 2021. During this time, she established herself as an independent artist, recognised for her expressive floral compositions.

Upon returning to Perth, Adele and her husband, Jayd Naidoo, began building their art and design practice together. What began as floral acrylic paintings on canvas has since evolved into a distinctive collection of sculptural works exploring the formation, structure and movement of flowers.

Combining Adele's fascination with the natural world and Jayd's architectural background, their work seeks to transform rigid materials into fluid, organic forms. Each fold and curve is carefully considered, yet the resulting compositions convey a sense of effortless movement and softness.

These sculptural pieces represent a natural evolution of Adele's original floral paintings, reimagining their delicate forms and expressive qualities in three dimensions.
